A random question....

With all the various accents (American, Belgian and of course North English) resonating around our house recently a totally random question popped in my head....

What would someone who has no accent sound like?? in fact does such a person even exist? is it possible for a person not to have an accent??.....

Just a thought....

A person with no accent would sound like everybody...everybody seems to state they don't have an accent, it's always the person who says 'hey you have an accent' who is the one who actually has the accent...if that makes sense.

i get what you mean but in effect everyone has an accent then because they sound different to someone who lives in a different town/city/country, yet they sound similliar to someone who lives in the same town/city/country. Isn't that wierd that you sound different depending on which part of planet earth you live on??..i don't think it's possible for someone NOT to have an accent...

Everyone has an accent, how would you say what no accent sounds like? Even "neutral" accents are still accents because they're neutral in that particular country but to someone in a diff country they would recognize that you had an accent...this is confusing. what a silly post!
